There are many parties celebrated on St. Patrick’s Day! The holiday gives Tampa office workers yet another reason to gather after hours. (as if they need one)  Executive office personnel are reputably known for their office parties. They have been the subject of many movies,  jokes and even Broadway plays.

What better way to melt away the weekly stress of the office environment and board room. Whether you occupy office space, utilize a conference center or work from home and do the virtual office; everyone needsto find an outlet. So when a holiday presents itself as another opportunity or excuse to cut loose, throw off those ties and heels and go for it.

Tampa Bay, Clearwater and surrounding metro areas offer some of the most sought after executive spaces. Buildings for sale or lease offer many amenities and options for the corporate executive staff as well as the entrprenurial sole proprietor just getting his shingle hung out for his new business venture.

At home workers that just are not in a position to take advantage of the office suite lease, can still be a virtual office space client and join their genre at the local St. Pat’s Day parties, too. No one would even know that their office dress code is jammies, sweats, shorts & tees. Or even that their coffee break may be taking place pool side in the backyard. Lucky Duck!!! Now, now cut them some slack…I’m sure their stress levels rise too! Especially when they can’t find their flip-flops to go out for the morning paper or walk the dog!

Bottom line is no matter what your situation is, take advantage of the green beer, corned beef and cabbage at the local pub with your fellow “Irishmen”! Share ideas, tell someong about the great office suite locale & deal you found, hints and tips to help one another cope with the additional stresses  the world and economy has laid on our plates, and know that we can all sail the same rocky boat a little easier after a few hours of comradery. And don’t forget to partake moderately in those green beers!

Valentine’s Day

This is it…time for hearts and flowers! Make space in your busy day to tell your sweetie you want to get out of the office and meet for a romantic lunch. Don’t forget to create a virtual image that will make your invitation irresistible.

Meet at their favorite place and bring along some Valentine type goodies to dress up your table before they arrive. Sprinkle some red glitter hearts and message candies and don’t forget the card. This preview can continue throughout the rest of the day with a romantic call, text or email for an invite to dinner.

Make sure you keep up the Valentine atmosphere when choosing one of the many fine, intimate restaurants Tampa Bay has to offer. You might want to include some dancing or a sunset walk on one of the many awesome beaches. Sit together, dance or draw hearts in the sand to top of the perfect day. Everyone loves to be fussed over and doted on. This is your day, treat each other special, re-discover why you were drawn to one another and why you still feel like teenagers on their first date.

We experience wonderful things once we realize the value of personal time outside of the hectic rat race we get caught up in more often than not. Remember, we work to live, not live to work! Everything else will fall in line when we set our sights on our individual prize. If  you can be happy in life, your “everyday” becomes less stressful and your outlook changes on how you deal with the everything else. Happy in love, family and friends…Happy in life.

We know thinking outside of the box presents new and exciting opportunities. Maybe thinking outside of the executive board room will present new and exciting things in” other rooms”. ;) winking

New Year, New Outlook

The new year marks the end of holiday celebrations and the onset of new beginnings. Whether it’s resolutions, goals, personal or business, we all have ventures and avenues we want to explore.

We look ahead with anticipation and glimmers of perhaps just a little bit better jobs, economy and fortune. We all want to believe that each day, week, month and year will bring us back to the strength and status this America is known for. We do our best to stay positive and keep looking ahead. In the back of our minds we hold on to our beliefs that we are the most powerful nation and the “land of milk and honey”.

I don’t know about you, but I would like to taste of some milk and honey instead of the bitter after-taste of a failing economy, a waning job market, and the domino effect that comes along with it.

These are downers and ambition breakers and I, personally choose not to buy into them. I choose to believe that as great and mighty as we are, we need to be united in our goals and move forward in our pursuit of solutions to our short-comings.

“The People” have always come together and come out stronger that ever when faced with adversity. When we put our heads together and work for a common goal, we will prevail. Maybe it means taking a few steps back to times before all new technology took precedence over our lives. The basics of helping one another, paying it forward in the smallest ways and giving each other a hand through bartering and charitable acts need to become important again.

It could be the smallest of gestures that lead to an infectious outbreak of kindness and helpfulness.

It may not solve the big problems, but it will help us remember what’s most important.

Make all the resolutions you want, break them in a couple of weeks and move on. Or…resolve not to make any resolutions except to be the best you, you can be and excel everytime!

 

We are at the onset of yet another holiday season

New Year from Executive Office TampaWell, here we are at the onset of yet another holiday season.

The turkey is eaten and the leftovers have probably appeared in every new possible recipe one can create or find online.

So, now we are on the downslope to Christmas. I say “downslope” because I’ve been seeing Christmas decorations everywhere since Halloween!!! If it weren’t for the big Thanksgiving dinners and grocery special store ads, I think if Iblinked it would have passed me right by.

It seems as though we are breezing through the holidays faster and faster with each year that passes. They come and go almost without thought of their true meaning. By the time the actual day arrives, we’ve been inundated with ads, specials, sales and hype, we can often lose some of the celebration exitement.

My only saving grace is to approach the holidays at MY pace, trying not to get caught up in the commercialism, and concentrate on the important parts of the season. Family, fellowship, love and hope come to mind. Especially in the difficult times we are experiencing, these become my priorities.

I also find that my gift giving thoughts are heading in a more traditional direction, too. Homemade gifts have been my primary searches on line and there are so many ways to individualize gifts. For instance, do a family gift basket so that they can all enjoy your choice and remember you while they’re indulging. Such as a Christmas morning breakfast basket filled with everything they need to cozy up to a warm home cooked meal. There are so many options. Maybe a large decorative mixing bowl filled with pancake mix, a few flavored syrups and jellies,New Year from HodUSA muffins, cocoa mix, some coffees, a mixing spoon and they’re on their way. Even a basket with spaghetti or lasagna fixins, a bottle of wine and some glasses would be welcome. Have a movie buff in the family? How about putting together a video, popcorn, a variety of old-time movie candies, and a couple of sodas for a nice quiet evening at the old homestead?

Once you start, the possibilities are endless and can only grow from there. Even if you still want your friends and families to be able to tear into a gift… consider knitting a holiday scarf (the easiest think on earth), take one of your favorite pics of them and photo shop them into a festive or funny holiday scene, or get everyone a silly pair of holiday socks.

No matter how you chose to celebrate or what you do, make it safe and happy!

It’s chosen for vacations, events, meetings and so much more because of it’s appeal and location. Tampa International Airport is the hub of many travelers. It has been priviledged to host everything from Super Bowls to Political Conventions. Just to name a few, downtown Tampa touts Ybor City for the night-life, the famous Columbia Restaurant (since 1905), and if you fancy an after dinner, hand-rolled cigar, go right next door to Gonzalez y Martinez Cigar Factory  is the place to go.

You can get to so many other well known attractions from Tampa. There’s the ever popular Clearwater Beach where many of our college youth make their way for Spring Break. Aside from the youth attraction, everyone can take advantage of the star rated restaurants, lounges and shops. Not to short change Clearwater, even a little bit, it has become star-struck with Winter, the dolphin, starring in “Dolphin Tale” and becoming a famous Hollywood star. She continues to call the Clearwater Aquarium her home.

Just a road trip to the east will put you in touch with Mickey and friends at Disney in Orlando. Orlando, like any other areas lead to more attractions and possibilities.

Florida is truly the Sunshine State when it comes to weather, but it can also relate to the “sunny” feeling you get when vacationing, exploring or visiting the endless areas of interest throughout the entire state. From Pensacola to the Keys and everything in-between, you are sure to find your ideal spot or island escape. Locals are more than accomodating when it comes to showing you where they go to enjoy the fun, food, entertainment and “Old Florida” flair if you tire of the commercial, touristy attraction.

You are never too far from sun, fun and sand. A day at the beach means so much more than sunbathing. There’s usually kayaking, jet skiing, fishing, parasailing or windsurfing rentals nearby, just to mention a few.

Let your imagination run free like sandpipers along the surf! Come on down! Florida’s waiting!
